Support Coordination across Bendigo and the Loddon.
This is the one support we can deliver here at full strength today, and we would rather lead with it than with a launch date.
The support that does not wait for a hub
Gencare is in the planning stage for Bendigo. There is no office, no local team and no home here yet, and most of what we do depends on all three. Support Coordination does not — it is delivered by phone, video, email and advocacy, which means it arrives at full strength rather than as a reduced version of itself.
That matters more in central Victoria than it would in the city. Bendigo has a genuine service system and the Loddon spreads a long way north from it, so a great deal of the work is establishing what exists where you are, what will travel to you, and what your plan is actually funding versus what it could be.
We will also say plainly that coordinating here teaches us the region. Every enquiry tells us where the demand is and which supports are hardest to find, and that shapes where a local hub eventually starts. You get a fully-funded support delivered properly; we learn central Victoria from people who live in it.
What can start now
In full, today. Support Coordination is not tied to a local roster, so nothing about it waits on our Bendigo hub. It is the one support here where being in the planning stage makes no practical difference to what you receive.
What support coordination — level 2 in Bendigo & Loddon actually looks like
Not a reduced version
Coordination is phone, video and advocacy. Nothing about it is diminished by our hub here still being in planning.
The Loddon is long
Bendigo to Kerang is most of a morning. What is reachable from Kangaroo Flat and from Echuca are different questions.
Your enquiry shapes the launch
Where the demand actually is decides where we start. That is not a courtesy line — it is how the rollout gets planned.
Some supports need somebody in the room. This one needs somebody who will pick up the phone and keep picking it up.
Where this reaches
Planning coverage across Bendigo, Loddon and Campaspe — tell us where you are, including:
Not sure if we reach your suburb? Ask us about your area — coverage is broader than any list.
Working it out, one step at a time
Go through the plan
What is funded, what is being used, and the parts nobody explained at the planning meeting.
Map what exists near you
In Bendigo itself, and separately in your actual town — those are frequently different answers.
Make the referrals land
Approaching providers, framing it the way intake needs to see it, and chasing whoever goes quiet.
Flag you for launch
When a local team starts, people already coordinated with us are matched first. Nothing about that costs you anything.
Support Coordination — Level 2 in Bendigo & Loddon, answered
For this support, genuinely yes. Coordination is phone, video, email and advocacy — what it needs is someone who knows the NDIS system and will chase things, not someone in the next street. Where being local matters is hands-on support, and we are clear that our Bendigo team does not exist yet.
All of it, because distance does not constrain this particular support. Bendigo and its suburbs, out through Castlemaine, Kyneton, Heathcote, and north toward Echuca and Kerang. What varies is not our reach but what we can find near you, and we will be specific about that rather than general.
Yes, and concretely rather than vaguely. When a local team starts, people we already coordinate for are matched first — because we already know the situation, the plan and what has been tried. There is no cost or obligation involved in that being true.
Then we will tell you we cannot provide it here yet, and help you find who can. That is a real part of coordination and not a consolation prize. Being pointed to a provider who can actually start is worth considerably more than being added to a list for one who cannot.
