Do the most human work there is.
Support work changes lives — including yours. At Gencare we treat our people as carefully as we treat our participants, because great care can only come from a team that feels genuinely cared for.
A place that cares for its carers.
Work that actually matters
Every shift, you help someone live more of the life they want. Few jobs give you that at the end of the day.
Real backup, always
A coordinator who answers, clear plans, and a team that has your back — you are never left to figure it out alone.
Grow with us
Paid training, mentoring and genuine pathways — from support worker to house supervisor, coordinator and beyond.
A team that shows up
Consistency is our promise to participants and to each other. You will know your team, and they will know you.
We hire for heart, and train for skill.
Heart first
We hire for warmth and empathy, then train for skill. The right values cannot be taught — they can only be honoured.
Reliability
Turning up, on time, ready — for people whose day depends on it. Dependability is a form of respect.
Respect & dignity
Every person, every time. We see the human before the plan, and treat every participant as we would our own family.
Roles across our whole team
We are always looking for great people. Do not see the perfect title? Reach out anyway — the right person always has a place here.
Support workers
Daily living, community access and personal care — the heart of what we do.
SIL house staff
Supporting participants to live well in shared and individual homes.
Support coordinators
Connecting participants to the right supports and holding it all together.
Recovery coaches
Walking beside people through mental health recovery, at their pace.
Nurses & clinical
Community nursing and clinical care delivered with warmth and skill.
And more
Allied health, rostering, admin and leadership — great people are always welcome.

Questions about joining Gencare
We keep the door open even when we are not advertising a specific role, because the right person is worth making room for. Send us an expression of interest with a bit about you and the kind of work you are drawn to, and we will be in touch when something that fits comes up — or sooner, if it already has.
For most support roles the essentials are an NDIS Worker Screening Check, a Working with Children Check where relevant, first aid and CPR, and the right to work in Australia. A qualification in individual support or disability is valued but not always required — the right attitude and reliability matter just as much, and we provide training.
Yes — the mix depends on the supports we are delivering and where you are. Many people start casual and build toward regular hours as they settle with participants. Consistency matters to the people we support, so we aim for stable, ongoing matches rather than constantly rotating staff.
Yes. Beyond onboarding, we invest in ongoing training — including the competency-based training required for high-intensity supports — because well-supported workers deliver better, safer care. Growth into senior support, coordination or team-lead roles is genuinely open to people who want it.
Straightforward and human: you apply or express interest, we have a conversation, and if it feels right on both sides we move through reference and compliance checks, then a proper induction before you start supporting anyone. We would rather take the time to get a match right than rush someone into a role.
Come and do work that matters.
Send us a hello and your resume — we would love to meet you. Email info@gencareservices.com.au or reach out through our contact page.
