Support Coordination · Level 2

One guide who makes your plan actually work for you.

An NDIS plan is only as good as how it is used. A Support Coordinator is the person in your corner who turns a confusing document into connected, working supports — and gradually hands the controls to you.

The moment the plan arrives

A plan approved — and absolutely no idea what to do with it.

The NDIS sends a plan full of categories, budgets and acronyms, and then… silence. Who do you call? Which providers are any good? How do you not blow the budget by March? It can feel like being handed the keys to a plane you were never taught to fly.

Most people lose weeks — sometimes months — to that confusion. Supports go unused. The plan quietly underspends. Reviews come around with nothing to show. And the person it was all meant to help is left exhausted before any support has even started.

A Support Coordinator changes that on day one. Someone who knows the system, knows the providers, and knows exactly how to turn your plan into a life that is moving forward.

A good coordinator does not just explain the NDIS to you. They quietly carry it for you — until you are ready to carry it yourself.
What a coordinator actually does

Everything your coordinator takes off your plate

Support Coordination is hands-on help to understand your plan and turn it into working supports — while building your skills and confidence to do more of it yourself over time.

Make sense of your plan

We translate the budgets, categories and rules into a clear picture of what you can actually use, and how.

Find & connect providers

We match you with quality providers that fit your goals — and stay independent about who you choose.

Set up & manage agreements

Service agreements, bookings and the paperwork — handled, so nothing stalls.

Coordinate the whole mix

Allied health, SIL, community, health — kept talking to each other, so your supports work as one.

Solve problems & crises

When something goes wrong, you have one number to call and someone who acts — fast.

Get your plan fully used

We track your budget and prepare you for plan review, so funding is used well — not lost.

Find your level

Three levels of coordination. Here’s yours.

The NDIS funds coordination at three levels. Most people sit at Level 2 — but we’ll always tell you honestly which one fits.

Level 1

Support Connection

A lighter touch — help to understand your plan and build the confidence to connect with supports yourself.

Level 2

Support Coordination

The core level. We coordinate a mix of supports, resolve issues and build your capacity to self-manage over time.

This page is about Level 2
Level 3

Specialist Support Coordination

For complex, high-risk situations — a specialist coordinator who manages significant barriers and reduces risk.

Support Coordination is likely a good fit if…

  • You are new to the NDIS, or your plan just changed and feels overwhelming.
  • You have a mix of supports that need to work together.
  • You want help finding and vetting quality providers.
  • You would like to build the skills to manage more of your plan yourself.
  • A previous plan underspent, or you struggled to get supports started.

It might not be the right tool if…

  • Your plan is simple and you are confidently self-managing already.
  • You mainly need help paying invoices — that is Plan Management (financial), which is different.
  • Your situation is highly complex or high-risk — Specialist Support Coordination (L3) may fit better.
  • You only need a one-off connection — Support Connection (L1) may be enough.

Not sure which level is right? That is exactly what a Meet & Greet is for — we will give you an honest read, even if the answer is a lighter (cheaper) level than you expected.

Funding, without the fog

How Support Coordination is funded

Support Coordination is funded separately from your everyday supports, so using it never eats into your core budget. Here is how it works in plain English.

Step 1

It is a set amount

Support Coordination is funded as a fixed amount of hours under Capacity Building in your plan.

Step 2

You choose your coordinator

You pick who supports you — and you can change if it is not the right fit. We stay independent.

Step 3

We make every hour count

Your hours go into the highest-value work: connecting supports, solving problems, preparing for review.

Step 4

We build you toward independence

The goal is your capacity — over time you need us less, not more, as your confidence grows.

Funded under: Capacity Building — Support Coordination (separate from your Core budget).

Does not reduce: Your Core supports — coordination hours are their own line in the plan.

We stay independent: We help you choose the best providers for you, not just our own services.

The goal is you: Building your capacity to self-manage — so coordination tapers as you grow.
