NDIS support in Inner Melbourne.
The city is already accessible. Support here is about using it.
Real, local support across Inner Melbourne.
Inner Melbourne is the one part of the city where you genuinely do not need a car. Trams run every few minutes, most things are within a few kilometres, and the Alfred, the Royal Melbourne and St Vincent’s are all close. That changes what support looks like. Less driving, more travel training. Less arranging transport, more building the confidence to take the 96 on your own.
It also means smaller homes. Apartments, terraces and share houses rather than four-bedroom family homes, often with stairs, narrow doorways and no off-street parking. Supported living in the inner city usually means supporting someone in a place they already rent, in a building that was not designed with them in mind, and doing it without turning their home into a clinic.
Our head office is on Flinders Street, which makes the inner city the easiest place in Melbourne to meet us somewhere neutral if you would rather not start at home. Most people still prefer we come to them, and that is always an option.
Suburbs & towns across Inner Melbourne
Inner-city suburbs our coverage is already on the record for. It is a short list on purpose — we would rather name places we can point to than pad it out, and it is not the edge of where we work:
Don’t see your area? Inner Melbourne coverage is broader than this list — ask us about your town.
What support in Inner Melbourne really looks like
Travel training, not just transport
When the tram is at the end of the street, the goal is usually confidence to use it independently rather than a lift to the door.
Apartments and terraces
Smaller homes, shared walls, stairs and no off-street parking. Support here has to fit the building you actually live in.
Close to major hospitals
The Alfred, the Royal Melbourne and St Vincent’s are all nearby, which matters for coordinating appointments and hospital discharge.
A dense social life
Study, work, live music, community groups and sport are all on your doorstep. Community participation here is about choosing, not travelling.
When the tram is at the end of the street, independence stops being about transport and starts being about confidence.

Support in Inner Melbourne, answered
The ones we name are the CBD, where our head office is, along with Brunswick, Coburg, Fitzroy, Richmond and South Melbourne. We have kept the list to suburbs our coverage is already on the record for rather than claiming the whole inner ring. Support reaches further than the list — for any other suburb the honest answer is to ask, and we will tell you what we can put near you.
Yes, and most of our inner-city support does. Small homes bring their own practicalities — lifts, building access, shared entrances, limited storage for equipment — and we work through those with you rather than pretending they are not there. What we will not do is make your home feel like a facility.
Yes. In the inner city this is one of the most requested goals, and one of the most achievable. It usually starts with travelling together on a route you already need, then gradually stepping back until you are doing it alone. How long that takes is entirely individual, and there is no pressure to rush it.
Yes — our head office is at Level 8, 276 Flinders Street, a short walk from Flinders Street Station. Visits are by appointment so your time is unhurried. Many people prefer we come to them instead, which is always an option.
We coordinate SIL across Melbourne, but our own SIL homes are all in the western suburbs. In the inner city that usually means supporting you in a place you already have, or helping you look at options — including homes run by other providers. We will tell you honestly when the right home for you is not one of ours.
Yes. Choice of provider is yours under the NDIS and you do not have to justify wanting a change. Check the notice period in your current service agreement, and we will coordinate the handover so nothing lapses in between.
