NDIS transport in Melbourne, getting there is never the barrier.
The world is only open to you if you can reach it. We help you travel safely and confidently — to appointments, work, activities and the people you love — and, where you want, build the skills to get there all on your own.
Your week, on the move
Wherever you need to be

Wed

Sat
The appointment you can make — if only you could get there.
So much of a full life happens somewhere else: the clinic across town, the class you want to take, the friend you have not seen in months. And for too many people, the single biggest barrier is not the destination — it is the journey to it.
Without reliable, confident transport, the world quietly shrinks to whatever is within walking distance. Opportunities are missed, appointments are skipped, and independence slips away one cancelled trip at a time.
We put the world back within reach. Safe, reliable travel to wherever you need to be — and the coaching, if you want it, to get there increasingly on your own.
Freedom is not just about where you can go. It is about knowing you can get there.

Safe, reliable, sorted
Getting there matters — but so does how. This is what makes the journey itself something you never have to worry about.
Screened, trusted workers
Every worker holds a cleared NDIS Worker Screening Check and is matched to you — the same familiar face, not a stranger each trip.
True door-to-door
Support from your front door to the destination and back — including the tricky bits at either end, not just the drive.
Your needs, accommodated
Mobility aids, equipment, communication needs or travel anxiety — we plan the journey around you, calmly.
Reliable and on time
A missed trip is a missed appointment. We turn up when we say we will, because your day depends on it.
How travel & transport is funded
Transport-related supports can be funded in several ways depending on your plan and goals. Here is the plain-English version.
Support to travel: A worker accompanying you is funded from your Core Supports.
Travel training: Building independent-travel skills is a capacity-building support.
Transport funding: Some plans include specific transport funding for travel costs.
We help you: Understand what your plan covers and use it well.
Travel & Transport, answered
Support to get to and from appointments, work, study, community activities and social outings — with a worker accompanying you door-to-door where needed — plus travel training to build your confidence using public transport and familiar routes.
Yes — that is often the goal. Travel training builds the skills, routines and confidence to travel independently: planning routes, using timetables and tickets, staying safe, and gradually doing more yourself at a pace that feels comfortable.
Transport-related supports can be funded in several ways — support from a worker to travel (Core Supports), travel training (capacity building), and in some plans specific transport funding for costs. We help you understand what your plan covers.
Yes, where you need it. A screened, reliable worker can support you from your door to your destination and back, so the whole journey is safe and stress-free.
It depends on what suits you best, and we agree it at your Meet & Greet. Support might mean a worker driving you, accessible transport, or a worker accompanying you on public transport to build your confidence. We plan the safest, most practical option for each journey.
Yes. We plan every journey around your mobility and equipment needs, and support you door-to-door so getting in and out, and to and from, is safe and unhurried. Tell us what you need and we will make it work.
Gencare is based in the west of Melbourne and supports participants across Victoria, with our footprint expanding into Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo and regional areas. Reach out and we will confirm what is available in your area.
Transport support is generally for participants who cannot use public transport safely or independently because of their disability. How it is funded varies — a worker's time supporting you to travel comes from Core Supports, travel training is Capacity Building, and some plans carry specific recurring transport funding. We will help you work out which of these your plan actually holds.
Yes — and getting to employment or education is one of the strongest cases for transport funding, because it is directly tied to a goal. If you are working or studying, it is worth checking whether your plan reflects that; participants in work or study can often access a higher level of recurring transport funding than those who are not.
